iPhone11 Ranked Second Behind Huawei Mate 30 pro


iPhone 11 Pro Max scored less than the Huawei Mate 30 Pro in overall camera scores/ratings in the world. It managed to outscore rivals like the Google Pixel 4 and Samsung Galaxy S10 while the apple phone shares the second spot with Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

iPhone 11 Pro Max’s cameras have finally been put through the paces by DxOMark, and to put it simply, the outcome was not too surprising. The iPhone 11 Pro Max achieved a net score of 117 points for its main camera output, which places it jointly at second place with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, and above the likes of Google Pixel 4, Samsung Galaxy S10, and the Huawei P30 Pro. The iPhone 11 Pro Max lags a healthy four points behind the chart-topper – the Huawei Mate 30 Pro with the net score of 121 points.

DxOMark’s camera test scores
The iPhone 11 Pro Max a score of 117 for still photography and put up a tally of 102 points for video capture. While the phone’s still photography score is far behind what the Huawei Mate 30 Pro achieved, With such a versatile and promising camera system, it doesn’t come as a surprise that DxOMark has ranked it the highest rated smartphone camera with an overall of 121 net score.

As for the iPhone 11 Pro Max’s camera hardware, it includes a trio of 12-megapixel sensors serving as a primary camera, an ultra-wide shooter, and a telephoto lens. While the Huawei Mate 30 Pro features a 40 Mega-Pixel main camera with a Leica optics, dual-LED dual-tone flash, panorama, HDR. It must be noted that DxOMark’s is yet to test the front camera performance of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and assign it a selfie score.

As for the actual camera output, DxOMark notes in its exhaustive report that the iPhone 11 Pro Max is among the best phones out there when it comes to colour accuracy and exposure in a nearly all lighting conditions.


This isn’t the first time the latest iPhone didn’t measure up against a Huawei device. The iPhone XS Max — the 2018 flagship from Apple — came in with a score of 106 while both the Huawei P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro beat it out with scores of 109 and 112 respectively.
