Mr. Kufre Ekanem, the owner of Hymnodia, a music reality TV show, hinted recently that the project has started receiving global acceptance. According to him, 5 countries have already asked to take up the Hymnodia franchise. He made this known during an event held in honour of the 5 finalists of the maiden show.

Mr. Kufre Ekanem expressed surprise at the height the project has attained in such a short time. He recounted how the idea was conceived 10 years ago; and how the various supports received from friends and family have been a strong motivation in driving the idea from conception to reality. He further expressed his hope for the future. He believed that Hymnodia will become a global event in not too distant time.

Meanwhile the 5 finalists of the recently concluded hymn reality TV show, Hymnodia, were treated to a 5-star reception by Rainoil, in conjunction with Philosoville, at Parkview Astoria Hotel in Ikoyi. Branded as ‘hymntestants’, the finalists were received by friends and families to an evening of wining and dining amidst laughter and acknowledgement of recent achievement.

It was a warm evening with the 5 finalists happy to reunite with other hymntestants evicted from the hymnstitute before the finals. Mr. Ben Ogbeiwi, the Dean of the hymnstitute was the anchor man at the reception.

All the hymntestants were full of joy. Mobolanle flew in from Zaria to attend the dinner. She was happy to announce that she has been made an evangelist in her church, upon her return from the show. Also, Olumide attested that the roles he played at the hymnstitute brought progress to his family. He said his skills as a music teacher has improved remarkably owing to the intensive coaching received at the academy.

More, Abigail and Rachel were happy to state that their experiences at the hymnstitute have made impacts on their lives positively, and they are very grateful for the lessons learned.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Ekhuemelo, the winner of the maiden edition of the show, stated that the recognition he has garnered already far exceed his expectations. He however, expressed the need for self-disciple, going forward.

Mrs. Godrey Ogbechie, the Group Executive Director of Rainoil, extolled the organizers of the hymnstitute. She endorsed Hymnodia mainly because the reality TV show is based on hymns, and promotes the worship of the Almighty Father. She added that she is already making plans to be a part of season 2; while emphasizing that with good support from the Christian society in Nigeria, the project will compete favourably with other notable music competitions.

The evening rounded off with the award of certificates to the hymntestants. It is on record that since the inception of the show, 62 new hymns have been created.
