Black Friday 2019: Apple Devices, Gaming Products Hit Among US Shoppers

The Black Friday shopping frenzy caught up with people across the globe after Thanksgiving Day and deal shopping was so intense that Costco’s website and app in the US went down and long queues were seen outside hypermarket stores like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy and hundreds lined up outside apple store.

The US carriers AT&T , Sprint and Verizon put special Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on iPhones. Smartphones and gaming products topped the chart for shoppers on Day One.

Best iPhone deals of the day were: Get iPhone 11 for $0/month at Sprint when you trade in your iPhone 6s or newer in any condition;
Save up to 60 percent on the Apple iPhone XR; save up to 57 percent on the Apple iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 at Sprint and save up to 60 per cent on a wide range of Apple iPhones, the carriers said in a statement.

Apple on their part once again put sizzling Black Friday deals on offer — from iPads as low as N85,000 ($237)on MacBook Pros, with up to N620,000 ($1,700) off.

According to Appleinsider.com, the best Apple deals for the next three days are the Apple AirPods with Wireless Charging Case worth: N58,000 ($159.99) with up to N14,000 cut ($40 off) and the 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro (2.6GHz, 32GB, 1TB, Radeon 560X) Grey worth N840,000  ($2,299) will get a N470,000 price cut ($1,300 off) and the 11-inch iPad Pro (1TB, Wi-Fi) worth N400,000 ($1,099) on Amazon will get a reduction of N90,000 ($250 off).

Shoppers worldwide are expected to spend between $728 billion and $731 billion in November and December.
