Airtel Nigeria has announced free 200mb compensation for its customers after a 2-day service downtime in its network from Saturday up until Sunday prevented subscribers from accessing the internet.
CobraReview recalls that many users of Airtel Network could not connect with the internet over the weekend as the network suddently went blank without any explanation from the provider.
A user, Amofokhai Williams said he just loaded 22 gigabyte bundle to do some internet work, but alas, the network went blank and unaccessible..
Airtel subscribers expressed their anger and pains on Twitter following the poor network and difficulty users encountered in accessing the Internet.
In a message sent to subscribers on Monday, Airtel apologised to its subscribers and announced a token compensation package.

“We sincerely apologize for the downtime on our Internet service earlier today. As a gesture of appreciation for the inconvenience you have been credited with 200MB bonus data valid for 2days. Please restart your device to enjoy seamless browsing on the Smartphone network. Thanks for choosing Airtel”
